8 Transformers Characters Who Won't Be In Any Of The Movies

7. FortMax & Metroplex

Metroplex After the success of the feature length animated movie, Hasbro's toy designers got a lot more ambitious with their designs. Not only did their weapons and heads turn into robots, but everything else around them could fix into a robot. Metroplex (pictured) is the industrial city complex the Autobots inhabit in 2006 (when the 1988 series is set). In the Japanese feature length episode 'Scramble City,' Metroplex is the main focus and is seen to morph into a full-size robot, dwarfing the biggest Transformers. If you thought this was ridiculously large-scale, the 'Headmasters' range (a series of toys where even the robot's head transforms into a small robot) featured the 3-foot behemoth action figure Fortress Maximus, or 'FortMax' for short. FortMax's head even has a transforming head. This character appears in the three-part episode of the original cartoon to overpower the Decepticon's Scorponok (a similar robot to MetroPlex who changes from an enemy base to Scorpion to robot). Although Scorponok has made it in to the first Dreamworks film, he remains in scorpion form and is smaller in scale than his Gen 1 counterpart. Fortmax and MetroPlex are highly unlikely to appear due to the scale of each robot would be the size of the southern hemisphere compared to Revenge Of The Fallen's version of Devastator.
