8 Unloved Movies From 2015 That Deserve A Higher Score On Rotten Tomatoes
6. Pixels
Actual Score: 17% It's a movie about video games come-to-life starring perpetual man-child Adam Sandler. Audiences going into this one should know exactly what to expect and, to the delight of apparently no one, it delivers what's promised. Those who say this movie is completely worthless are still (justifiably) mad at Sandler for making movies like Grown-Ups and Jack and Jill, which are both prime examples of just how creatively drained and obnoxiously lazy Mr. Happy Madison has become over the years. But Pixels, while still very tedious at times and woefully underwritten at others, can also be a lot of fun if you allow yourself to enjoy it as the mindless nostalgia trip it's meant to be. And give Sandler credit here for his active participation in a film that isn't set in an exotic locale that's coincidentally ideal for a behind-the-scenes paid vacation. Also, Pixels deserves a higher score if for no other reason than the aggressively mean and painfully unfunny "classic Sandler" film That's My Boy currently has a 20% rating. And there's just no way this movie about fighting aliens with the use of Atari games is worse than that. Adjusted Score: 38%
