8 Upcoming 2016 Movies Already Spoiled By Their Trailers

7. The Safehouse Explodes - Eye In The Sky (International Trailer)

Eye In The Sky is an upcoming thriller starring Helen Mirren as Colonel Katherine Powell, a military intelligence officer tasked with deciding whether or not to blow up a safehouse sheltering terrorists using drone missiles. The tension of the film is supposed to stem from whether or not, upon discovering that there's a nine-year-old girl in the area, Powell decides to go ahead and destroy the safehouse with Hellfire missiles. Or, at least it would have, had the international trailer for Eye in the Sky not shown the safehouse being blown up in a brief, candid shot. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qiDE84TdJvA At the start of the trailer, you can see an aerial map of the area where the safehouse is supposed to be; towards the end of the trailer, there's a shot of a house exploding, and its rooftop and positioning match that of the aerial display. Now, there's a chance that this could be a different building, but - regardless - was it necessary to include even a single explosion in this trailer? It betrays the entire point of the movie and all that it stands for; audiences are now sure to go in knowing that - at the very least - there's going to be a huge explosion in the vicinity of the safehouse. Wouldn't it have been more intense if the trailer hadn't included anything firey?
