8 Upcoming Films That Will Change Everything
5. Toy Story 4 - Pixar As A Trustworthy Producer
Right, I'm not here to question the integrity of the Toy Story franchise so far, considering it's always knocked it out the park and we can have a little faith in the characters we've come to know and love. I'm not even here to break down that weird meta teaser trailer with Key and Peele making your mom jokes about the old movies as some sort of bizarre promo. I won't even ask where Bo Peep is or what's happening with that abandoned story: but what I will ask, what I really want to know, is what in the name of all that is good and holy is a Forky? And what the hell is a spork doing in a toy box?
Nobody wanted Toy Story 4. We had a perfectly pieced together trilogy on our hands that rounded off Buzz and Woody's story, moving through owner Andy's life as he grew from a boy to a young adult, ending with the simultaneously heart-breaking and heart-warming moment of the toys' donation. Why come back to sh*t on that with a piece of cutlery with googly eyes?
Toy Story 4 could be the first Toy Story movie of our lifetime to be terrible. And that's not something to be taken lightly. Pixar don't do bad movies, but that could all be about to change. Cars 2 we can forgive, but this? Their legacy is about to take a battering.
