8 Upcoming Sequels To Movies That Aren’t Even Out Yet

7. A New Terminator Trilogy

Although the first film pretty much wrapped up the story, Terminator has kept chugging along, gradually getting closer to the robot apocalypse that motivates the whole thing. We've gone from accepting fate, to averting Judgement Day, to finding it inevitable, to realising Christian Bale wasn't a great idea as John Connor. Although Terminator Salvation was meant to ring in a new era for the series, intended as the start of new, post-apocalyptic trilogy, its box office wasn't enough to make sequels a sure thing. Thus we get Terminator: Genisys (not a typo), which brings together Sarah Connor, her son John, Kyle Reese and a T-800 because Paramount really want the fans to like it. The film's still a year away, but the studio's confident enough that'll be a hit, with two sequels set for 2017 and 2018; they're finally getting their new trilogy, whether audiences want it or not. Will It Be Any Good? We have literally no idea what to expect about the return of Terminator. There's no been a great entry since 1991, but with a new direction that doesn't bear much relevance.
