8 Upcoming Sequels To Movies That Aren’t Even Out Yet

1. The D.C. Cinematic Universe

It may be a motivated by a desire to make a Man Of Steel sequel palatable, but we can't fault D.C. for finally pairing their two biggest heroes on screen. For generations playgrounds have rung with the argument of who would win in a fight between Batman and Superman and now that conflict will be shown on screen (the resolution will be they become friends, obviously). We can, however, fault the comic giant for rushing their wider back catalogue in a vain attempt to match Marvel. Batman V Superman will arrive with the irritating subtitle Dawn Of Justice, heralding in a whole stream of sequels. There's been ten more movies in the series announced, with rumours suggesting the entries will range from the logical (The Batman, Justice League) to the down right bizarre (Aquaman, Shazam). It all seems like a case of trying to run before learning to walk. Even Man Of Steel's fans wouldn't say jumping straight into a shared universe with a massive set of characters is a smart idea. It just seems strange to have so many films planned in a pretty much untested franchise. Will They Be Any Good? If Man Of Steel is going to be the reference for the expanded universe we have our doubts. Recent announcements that D.C. is going to completely do away with humour (to differentiate themselves from Marvel) sounds particularly misguided. Which unreleased movies should get sequels that don't already? Discuss the future of movies in the comments below.
