8 Villains For The MCU Spider-Man (And Who Should Play Them)

After The Amazing Spider-Man 2 was labelled the least-grossing Spidey film ever, Sony granted fans' wishes and made a deal with Kevin Feige and his team to introduce Spider-Man to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Finally, we get to see Marvel's most famous hero rub shoulders with the Avengers! And that is exactly what is set to happen in Captain America: Civil War, which will feature Tom Holland's first appearance as the wall crawler. After that, he will star in his own movie in 2017. The most exciting thing that comes from Spidey joining the MCU, however, is that he brings his illustrious rogues gallery with him. Spider-Man's list of foes is surely the strongest of all Marvel's heroes and, as the MCU has been struggling to produce memorable villains (outside of Loki), introducing the likes of Venom, Doc Ock and Green Goblin will certainly liven things up. Yet who should play them? Though their characters might be lacking, the MCU has cast some heavyweight acting talent in its villainous roles such as Hugo Weaving, Ben Kingsley and Robert Redford. Given that, here are eight suggestions for villains they should use in the upcoming Spider-Man solo movie and its sequels, as well as some choices for who should play them.
