8 Villains That Need To Appear In Batfleck's Arkham Asylum Movie

3. Calendar Man

Batman Villains
DC Comics

For much of his comic life, The Calendar Man was something of a joke character, turning up in a costume corresponding to the holiday he had decided to commit a crime on. Batman would easily end his scheme and that would be that. Occasionally he would team up with Catman and Killer Moth as part of the third rate super villain team The Misfits.

Then 'The Long Halloween' by Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale happened and the Calendar Man had his place in Batman lore cemented forever. In this famous storyline (partially the inspiration for Nolan's The Dark Knight), Julian Day is portrayed as a Hannibal Lecter-like villain, trapped in a cell in Arkham but holding all the cards when the Dark Knight comes a'knocking, desperate for answers.

Whilst still obsessed with committing crimes on certain dates, Loeb portrays him as a cunning villain, multiple steps ahead of Batman in a convoluted murder mystery spanning a year. Sporting a shaved and heavily tattooed head, Day would certainly fit right in with the grim and gritty approach that Warner Brothers seem to be taking.

With a deeply dark jealous streak when it comes to other villains success, Calendar Man would make a great addition to the new DC Extended Universe and seems low key enough that Affleck could really make this holiday obsessed villain into someone truly frightening.

Let us not forget the theory that he may have successfully killed the Batman in Arkham Knight...
