8 Ways New Suicide Squad Trailer Made You Change Your Mind

3. Colour... In A DC Movie? Woo!

The grey and brown, washed-out colour palette that was apparent in the initial Suicide Squad teaser has been duly abandoned. At least, that movie and the movie glimpsed in this new trailer feel like completely different films all together - there's a far more vibrant and colourful aesthetic on show this time around, which is seriously welcome. Watching the trailer, the cinematography actually looks pretty creative and there are a few rather stunning shots scattered throughout. You'd expect a movie set mostly at night and in industrial buildings to have a really oppressive look, but David Ayer has gone for something a bit jazzier; vibrant oranges, flashes of purple, yellow sun-soaked scenes... Given that Man of Steel had a weird grey tinge about it, and the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice appears to have the colour palette of a mudslide, it's nice to see that DC have allowed one of their films to have a bit of life. Odd that they opted to do that in what is arguably the darkest movie in the canon, but hey, who's complaining?
