3. Do an Indie Film or Two
This seems an obvious one, but if she has an agent who sees beyond her looks, she may be directed towards a great, low-budget film. Her experiences so far have been on Hollywood blockbusters with great catering, red carpet premieres and air-conditioned winnebagos. If she gets on set for, say, a David O. Russell film, or maybe something by Sarah Polley or Kevin Smith or Neil LaBute, for example, and work with a really great script. You see a lot of attractive actresses you may not like trying a variety of challenging roles outside of the studio system, and more often than not they really surprise you- I cant tell you the amount of times Ive experienced that, and Ive seen another side to actor and actresses who I thought just pursed their lips and showed some skin to be in the movies. Why should RHW be any different? And following on from my previous tip, if she does an indie shell learn from talented character actors, those who are not necessarily legendary but are just as talented and experienced. And of course, she may just end up in the token little indie that could that pops up at that years Oscars.
