5. Direct or Write Something, However Awful It May Be
This would be a baptism of fire, alright! If RHW is genuinely eager to get into film, then what better than express herself by writing a script or directing a short? There is little ego involved- if things go wrong, it will be all on her. As an actress, she can just step on set for her takes, then go home. If RHW invests herself in a project she is passionate about and build from the ground up, it will challenge her emotionally and mentally, and develop some serious skills. So what if it crashes and burns? Shell be one of few actors how has the stones to direct/write something they can call their own. If may end up being something special, and then that will really shut up her critics. Angelina Jolie is a great example of an actress-turned-director, as is Jodie Foster- though neither of them were exactly criticised, since both came out the gate as articulate, intelligent actresses. At the moment, RHW has a way to go before reach their level, but writing or directing something small may help her get there faster.
