8 Weirdest Movie Trends Of 2015

8. Movies With "Age" In The Title

The Movies: Avengers: Age Of Ultron, The Age Of Adeline, Age Of Kill What is it about the word "Age" and movie titles this year? That's not the set-up to a hilarious, Jerry Seinfeld-inclined joke, but a genuine question. After all, one of the weirdest - and likely coincidental - movie trends of 2015 is the use of "Age" in movie titles to denote a specific period of time in which the movie in question is set. Which means that so far audiences have encountered Avengers: Age Of Ultron, in which a killer robot attempts to destroy humanity - not really an "age," as such, given that the movie takes place over what feels like the course of a week. Then there was The Age Of Adeline, which chronicles the entire lifespan of a woman who - in fact - doesn't age, which means that its use of the word makes a lot more sense than in the case of the Marvel movie. Finally, there was Age Of Kill, a terrible attempt of a film, starring former Spandau Ballet frontman Martin Kemp, whose title presumably refers to the measurement of time that it seemingly takes to get through such an awful, ill-judged excuse for an action movie.
