8 Worst Bond Girls Of All Time

5. Mary Goodnight (Britt Ekland) - The Man With The Golden Gun

Had she been appearing in one of the lesser films in the franchise, Britt Ekland might€™ve passed muster as a Bond girl (discuss), but in The Man With The Golden Gun she has to hold her own against Christopher Lee, against whom she seems a bit of a flyweight. Lee is one of the all-time great Bond villains, capable of holding your attention with subtle gestures rather than grandiose speeches, but when he does speak you damn sure listen. Then there€™s Ekland€™s Mary Goodnight who€.wears a bikini. For most of the film. Playing second banana to Ms Ekland is Maud Adams as Lee€™s doomed lover, who does a lot more with a lot less. During her scenes with Lee, which are played with minimal dialogue, you can see the fear in her eyes. When he kidnaps Ekland, you€™re reminded that in The Wicker Man, their last film together, her performance had to be dubbed.
