Big 2015 Films (And TV Shows): Jurassic World, Daredevil "You know Vincent D-Oh-nofrio - the guy who was in Full Metal Jacket? And... erm... the baddie in Men In Black?" That used to be the only way to introduce character actor Vincent D'Onofrio (and no, his name is pronounced that way), who was certainly a noteworthy face, but by 2015 had pretty much become a background presence. Daredevil was the turning point. His Wilson Fisk was a phenomenal creation, dwarfing any other villain in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and giving an already engaging series menace and surprise heart. Netflix have been typically coy about the actual viewing figures of the show, but the sheer level of the positive word-of-mouth suggests it's had quite the impact, elevating D'Onofrio in the process. He also starred in Jurassic World, the highest grossing film of the year (well, until you-know-what hits), but as his Hoskins was as false as the dinosaurs in the original The Lost World, it's unlikely that alone would have really done much for him. Daredevil Season 2 is set to be released early next year, and although much of the focus has been on the Man Without Fear coming up against the Punisher (and Elektra), with Kingpin alive in prison expect ol' Vince to make an appearance.
