When is the last time you ever heard someone say, "Ooh, I really want to see that movie! It's got Jennifer Aniston in it!"? Trick question: that's never happened. There's no movie that has been improved by her presence in it, and she's never really proven herself as a big studio moneymaker, even at the height of her popularity right after Friends. So how does she keep booking jobs? I think at a certain point, once you're in with the right Hollywood crowd, no one questions your ability to put butts in seats, even after you've repeatedly demonstrated your complete lack of said skill. You can pretty much coast for the next 10-20 years, confident in the fact that you will keep getting offers no matter what.
