8. Bruce Returns To The Greenhouse
Batman Begins opens with a memory Bruce has of playing with Rachel in the greenhouse at Wayne Manor when they were kids, a moment that is special to both of them, represented by the arrow head Rachel gives Bruce later on in the film. When Bruce returns to Wayne Manor after his years of training with the League of Shadows, there is actually a scene both scripted and filmed of Bruce standing in the door of the now dilapidated greenhouse. Memories of Rachel sprinting and laughing flash before him, Bruce then moves on to the well, were he goes to conquer his irrational fear of bats. Judging from the script, this would have been a very brief moment; probably only taking up mere seconds of screen time. But it would have served to reinforce the importance of that memory and how it informs Bruces feelings for Rachel. That being said, its easy to see why this moment was cut - the nature of Bruce and Rachels relationship was already apparent - but in a series of films lacking much in the way of actual deleted material, even moments as fleeting as this become intriguing.
