9. Bubonicus

Although Bubonicus is a relatively minor villain in terms of renown and notoriety, his agenda is actually pretty frightening and he could be a devastating villain in any media presentation. To Bubonicus AKA the Plague-Bringer, life itself is nothing more than a disease for which death is the cure. Armed with his "pulse wand", which is capable of analysing and infecting any living creature with bacterial infections capable of conforming to a unique host and heavy armour, the monstrous villain travels the galaxy killing any and all life he encounters.

During their dealings with Ripjak - a Martian from an alternate future - the Guardians of the Galaxy learn that Bubonicus was behind the extermination of the entire Martian race that had conquered Earth, when he unleashed a plague on them.

Facing such a devastating foe would make for a great movie, though the lack of popularity and demand for the character prior to a movie may cause concern for fans.
