The Ghost Of Goodnight Lane is more of a low-brow horror-comedy than a traditional scare fest, but no shortage of eerie stories came out of its development, and they're rooted in reality.

The story is inspired by a real-life sound stage owned by Texas-based production group Media World Company, which is widely believed to be haunted. There's even an official log to document the weird things that have happened there over the years.

Director Alin Bijan chose to shoot the film at the sound stage which inspired it, and he soon found its reputation was entirely justified, or so he claims.

The crew report seeing lighting equipment falling from the ceiling for no apparent reason, and even hearing strange, disembodied voices calling out their names.

Stranger still, after the The Ghost Of Goodnight Lane's release, cinema screens it was playing in were myseriously deserted.
