9 Beloved Films With Boring Scenes That Everybody Ignores

1. The Lord Of The Rings: The Two Towers - The Ents

There's plenty of moments in The Lord Of The Rings that are clearly 'for the fans'. Scenes that are fine and all, but can only really be appreciated by those with an in-depth knowledge of Tolkien's Middle Earth. Thankfully these are mostly reserved for the geek-tastic Extended Editions, but a few scenes do seep through to the regular, Theatrical, films. In Fellowship, the whole Lothlorien section feels inconsequential, but at least there's a necessity to it, breaking up the fiery heights of the Balrog and piercing death of Boromir. The same can't be said of the Ents in The Two Towers. The joke with these tree shepherds is that they speak very s-l-o-o-o-w-l-y, much to the angst of time pressed Merry and Pippin. Haha, great. Now on with the story. Oh, they're not done. While Frodo and Sam's bonding is interrupted by Boromir Mk. 2 and the rest of the gang get ready for Helm's Deep, we keep cutting back to a sub-plot that develops at the same speed as the speech. Yes the Ent's prove important at the film's climax, but in a film that's only less than three hours because the ending's aren't cashed in until the end, it's a chore. Which great films do you think have incredibly boring scenes? Comments, as always, down below.
