9 Bizarre Minor Movie Cameos Made By Massive Actors

3. David Bowie's Ludicrous Few Seconds In Zoolander

OK, so the late, great David Bowie wasn't best known for his acting, but that doesn't mean he didn't deliver some zingers across his career (I mean, he was David Bowie); The Man Who Fell To Earth, The Prestige and, if you must, Labyrinth (although I'm still not happy with him replacing Raymond Briggs at the opening of The Snowman).

He also showed a wicked comedic bent within his acting career. Nowhere was that better seen in Extras, in a brief, one-scene appearance where he delivered a song that serves to encapsulate the entire series. That's TV though, and we're here to talk about films, so we'll have to settle for Zoolander.

Bowie's oh-so short cameo in Ben Stiller's (I guess I need to clarify "original" now) fashion comedy is hilarious thanks to how utterly bizarre its execution is. As Zoolander and Hansel prep for a Walk Off, Bowie pops out of the crowd to officiate, whipping of his glasses before freeze-framing so his name can pop up, leading to a sequence scored inexplicably to Beat It (despite Bowie's own Let's Dance being used moments before) and a few cutaways to the singer's stunned reactions. Bonkers.
