9 Bond Women That 007 Didn't Actually Sleep With
6. Solange Dimitrios - Casino Royale
Of all the entries on this list, this is Bond at his most chauvinistic and unlikeable, treating poor Solange Dimitrios as a piece of meat from which he can derive important information, irrespective of the cost. The film makes the smart choice of showing Bond's actions as a very deliberate act to achieve his mission, without ever trying to justify his methods.
Having identified a connection between Alex Dimitrios and a bomb maker he took down earlier in the film, Bond soon has his eyes set on Alex's wife, Solange. Having won one of Alex's fast cars in a card game, Bond then uses this as a means to 'win over' Mrs Dimitrios, taking her 'back to his place'.
As the two start to get hot and heavy on the hotel rug, Bond manages to get the information he requires. While time is of the essence, it is still quite callous when he orders room service 'for one', before exiting without explanation.
This is nothing however compared to 007's reaction when Solange's dead body is found, with Craig emitting absolutely zero emotion as Bond in what is perhaps the most brutal moment in the character's history. As for poor old Solange, she is tortured for information off screen and then murdered by henchmen for the film's villain, Le Chiffre.
It's a tragic ending for a character who did absolutely nothing wrong, simply having the misfortune of being married to a horrible man.
