9 Canon Changes That Would Make Star Wars Instantly Better

8. Yoda Doesn't Use His Lightsaber

Love or love not... there is no in-between when it comes to the visual of Master Yoda flipping around with his little green blade of doom.

And even if you are a big ol' fan of the powerful Jedi roaring and grunting his way through duels with Count Dooku and Darth Sidious, it's still hard to deny that a galaxy where Yoda didn't ever choose to wield a tiny lightsaber would have been fascinating.

A Force user so bloody powerful, he didn't even need to resort to pulling out a pitiful laser sword.

Instead, whenever Yoda found himself in a spot of bother, he could simply disarm and/or pulverise his adversaries through the Force, always staying multiple steps ahead of whatever foe that stood in front of him rather than relying on a tool to get himself out of trouble.

Seeing Yoda and Sidious both leaving the lightsaber duelling to their less powerful allies would have also been a delight, with the two iconic masters unleashing hell on one another via nothing but the power of the Force.

Sidious launching half the Galactic Senate chamber at his little green adversary was fantastic in Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. So, more of that and less of the surreal blade battles would have turned an already good fight into a classic.
