9 Extremely Subtle Movie Cameos That Went Straight Over Your Head

2. Richard Branson - Casino Royale

The founder of Virgin and business mogul extraordinaire Richard Branson managed to bag himself a role in the James Bond movie Casino Royale, appearing in the background as Daniel Craig traverses through the airport for a few moments as some light comedic relief. Going through security, the billionaire gets stopped and turned around to reveal his identity, before a security guard begins to pat him down.

He was given the small part at request after being kind enough to help the production out with a plane at short notice, getting himself and his son on screen for a short moment as a thank you from the team.

Funnily enough, the film actually got recut by British Airways to remove this scene altogether - whether it's because they didn't want to passengers thinking the owner of an airline could be so foolish as to try and smuggle nail clippers through security, or if its just plain jealousy that they aren't cool enough for a James Bond appearance, is yet to be gotten to the bottom of. Odds are on the latter though really.
