9 Extremely Subtle Movie Cameos That Went Straight Over Your Head

1. Jim Carrey - Liar Liar

The elastic faced Jim Carrey is known for his ridiculous comedy stylings, with the weird and wonderful gracing his filmography from Ace Ventura, to The Mask, and everything in between. Whilst many have favourites for Carrey's eccentric characters, it's arguable that Liar Liar serves as one of his very best pieces of work.

But what does this all mean?! We already know that Carrey plays the main character, so it would be a pretty un-subtle cameo to be included unless you watched the film with your eyes closed. Well, I can assure you that it isn't protagonist Fletcher Reede that lands Carrey here - but another part altogether - and one many will recognise from sketch comedy show In Living Colour.

Reprising the role of Fire Marshall Bill, Carrey pays an ode to the er, intense smiler of his past by dressing up in the part as an extra during a scene where Fletcher talks to an airport official. It's a blink and you'll miss it moment, but one that fans will surely notice and appreciate as soon as you catch a glimpse of those pearly whites.
