9 Famous Film Directors Who Have Lost Their Touch (That We All Pretend Are Still Awesome)

1. Peter Jackson

Peter Jackson: I don't even know where to begin. The man is responsible for one of the greatest film trilogies of all time, then learned all the wrong lessons and went back to Middle-Earth to adapt The Hobbit, turning it into one of the most arduous and unnecessary film trilogies of all time. Jackson has good ideas, and it's clear he really loves the material that he has to work with. But perhaps he loves it too much. King Kong should have been a warning sign that the man had gone off the deep end, pulling a Zemeckis and falling too head-over-heels with the technology of filmmaking and losing the things that really made his movies so special in the first place. Maybe he can pull a fast one on us and knock The Hobbit: There And Back Again out of the park, but judging by the first six hours of that saga, I severely doubt it. And there we have it! 9 directors who have, unfortunately, not aged well that we keep pretending are awesome anyway. What did you think of this list? Do you agree or disagree with my choices?
