9 Female Marvel Heroes Who Desperately Deserve An MCU Movie

3. Miss America

America Chavez is one of Marvel's newest characters, but one more than capable of anchoring their own solo film too.

Created by Joe Casey and Nick Dragotta in 2011, the time-warping, reality-bending LGBT* Latinx superhero has fast established herself as being among the most powerful Marvel characters out there, having held membership of both the Young Avengers and their more pacifistic counterparts, the Ultimates.

America, much like Ms. Marvel, is a really important character - one who'd feel right at home within the limitless confines of Marvel's Cinematic Universe and among the Avengers themselves too. Further to that, however, is that America has been leading her own solo series for close to a year now, reiterating that again, she's got bags of potential to exert on the big-screen.

Netflix has been mooted as a potential destination for the heroine, but a high school oriented film in the vein of this year's Spider-Man: Homecoming would also be tremendous. Either way, it's about time Marvel had a serious conversation about bringing her into a live-action arena, either as an Avenger, or as her own hero first and foremost.
