4. Ms. Marvel

While we won't have to wait long to see Alison Brie's Captain Marvel on the big screen, the matter of Ms. Marvel getting an MCU appearance is still yet to be addressed.

In the comics, Kamala Kahn grows up surrounded by superheroes. In fact, she absolutely adores them, and when the Terrigen Mists engulfed New Jersey (a power-giving gas Inhuman in origin), Kamala took after her favourite hero of all, Carol Danvers herself, the original Ms. Marvel. Given the power to change shape on a whim (and with that size, strength and mass), Kamala set about being a superhero while, much like her Marvel forebears, having to deal with a tumultuous time at high school.

G. Willow Wilson's comic has been a standout book from Marvel's latter years, having adopted a salience few other comics in this day and age have managed to capture. Kamala's a really important character and one that should, ideally, be poised to take a position in the MCU in the near future, especially if Captain Marvel turns out to be the success we all surely hope it will be.
