In recent days, Warner Brothers and DC have declared their long-term plan to rival Disney and Marvel Studios for cinematic superiority. The media giants have announced nine movies are in the works - in addition to Batman versus Superman and a Justice League movie - as they begin to expand the on-screen world. It's an exciting proposition for all comic book and comic book movie fans, given that we're already being treated to three or four per year with Marvel's various properties alone - this year we've had Captain America: The Winter Soldier and The Amazing Spider-Man 2, with X-Men: Days of Future Past and Guardians of the Galaxy still to come. Although we have an idea about a couple of these potential DC movies, what the rest of them might be is anybody's guess - after all, the company have eighty years of comic book history and thousands of characters and titles to choose from - but, given previous rumours and by utilising some common sense and logic, we think we've got it figured out. There have been some suggestions given about what they might be and, while we believe some of them will turn out to be true, we're unconvinced by all of them. In this article, we're going to take a look at what we think these movies might be and how they might fit in to the larger universe in the long term.
