9 Films DC Are Making That We Don't Know About

4. Shazam / Captain Marvel

Although Captain Marvel (or Shazam, as he's known in the New 52 reboot comics) isn't a permanent fixture in Justice League line-ups, we believe he will be a part of the DC Cinematic Universe version of the superhero team and, if the rumours are to be believed, that is indeed going to be the case (it would also makes sense, given the popularity of the modern, New 52 Shazam comics). Captain Marvel/Shazam is Billy Batson - a young boy whom, whenever he utters the word "SHAZAM!", is struck by a magical thunderbolt and imbued with the powers and abilities of six Elders (the wisdom of Solomon, the strength of Hercules, the stamina of Atlas, the power of Zeus, the courage of Achilles and the speed of Mercury) as he's transformed him into the mightiest mortal in the world. He would certainly be a unique character to have in the DC Cinematic Universe, given that his standard form is that of a child, and he would be a great way to introduce magic in to the continuity (in the same way Marvel seem to be doing with the imminent introduction of Doctor Strange). Given Superman's vulnerability to magic, it will also create an interesting dynamic between those two characters. With Captain Marvel potentially added to their ranks, the live action Justice League is looking stronger by the moment.
