9 Films DC Should Make Before Flashpoint

1. Literally Any Other Flash Story

Superman Flash
DC Comics

The biggest issue with DC making Flashpoint before all of these other films is just how rushed the entire affair feels. It is indicative of a larger issue DC has, which is a distinct lack of patience.

It's the exact same issue that got them here in the first place. In rushing to keep up with the gangbusters success of Marvel Studio's films, DC got a bit carried away and decided to essentially revamp their planned Man of Steel sequel into a one-way ticket to Justice League. The result was BvS, a film that gorged itself on classic comic storylines but proved unable to do any of them justice.

Now having rushed through a good chunk of their history, only to realize audiences aren't exactly thrilled with some of the choices they've made, they see Flashpoint as a redo. It is a chance to reboot the franchise without having to completely reset.

But in doing so, they will be making the same mistakes all over again, without having learned a thing from them. Audiences don't need to see a magnum opus, time travel, universe building Flash film right now. Maybe they just want a simple story that would allow them to actually get to know Barry Allen, before having any of that shoved down their throats.
