As we’ve already learned, popular film franchises aren’t exempt from receiving a Worst Picture nomination at the Razzies. As such, three of the five films in The Twilight Saga were deemed bad enough to receive a nomination: Eclipse and both parts of Breaking Dawn.

Eclipse is arguably the best book of the series, and so the film adaptation remains a favourite with its fans. After all, the thrill of reading the books and then seeing it come to life on screen is always magical.

Plus the initially forbidden love story between a vampire and a human is at times heartbreaking, but is always exciting. The cliffhanger at the end of Eclipse – when Edward asked Bella to marry him and it fades to black before she answered – was the peak of cinema. Everyone wanted more.

Breaking Dawn is also actually quite a fun film, even despite the outrageous wigs. You also can’t deny that both films were wonderfully directed: Eclipse had a great director in David Slade, who directed Hard Candy and 30 Days of Night, which are both exceptional films.

Breaking Dawn Part 2 actually won its nomination for Worst Picture, but both parts of Breaking Dawn were directed by Bill Condon, and he went on to direct Beauty and the Beast (2017) and co-write The Greatest Showman (2017). So he can't have been THAT bad, right?
