After making his initial debut alongside Tom Holland’s Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War, Black Panther will finally get his opportunity to sink his claws into his own film, due in February 2018.

The plot seems to lean heavily on Wakanda’s reaction to the death of their original leader T’Chaka, and the subsequent coronation of their new Black Panther, his son T’Challa. The absence of the original king will leave some in doubt as to who truly deserves the throne, leaving the doubters to look for alternatives.

When two nefarious figures join forces to overthrow the new king, it is up to T’Challa to claim his birthright as the true leader and protector of Wakanda and its people. It is also speculated that because this is the film that precedes Infinity War, that it might include the final Infinity Stone, the Soul Stone.

The film stars the returning Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa/Black Panther, Michael B. Jordan as Eric Killmonger and Andy Serkis reprises his role as Ulysses Klaus. There's also a Agreat supporting cast including the likes of Angela Basset, Daniel Kaluuya, Danai Gurira, Forest Whittaker, and Lupita Nyong'o.
