shortroundindianajones Short Round is easily one of Indy's most loved sidekicks. The relationship between Indy and Shorty is both funny and heartwarming, and can be viewed as another exploration into the father-son dynamic that is present in the films. Short Round eventually becomes Indy's protege and assists him in a number of adventures. Indy then brings Shorty to Pankot Palace, where hundreds of children have been kidnapped and forced to work in underground mines. Regardless of Indy's affection, he's hardly the most responsible guardian for a child.
