9 Horror Movie Villains Who Turned Hero In The Sequel

6. Frankenstein’s Creature (Bride Of Frankenstein)

There's an interesting and lengthy debate to be had whether or not Frankenstein's Creature is actually a villain at all.

He didn't ask to be created; he was just the end result of a mad scientist playing God.

For the purposes of this list - and considering he drowned a young girl in the 1931 movie Frankenstein - let's just call him a villain for now.

The sequel to that 1931 movie is called Bride of Frankenstein, although the Bride doesn't really come in to it until right at the very end. Most of the film is dedicated to the Creature learning more about itself and the world around it.

He saves a young woman from drowning this time, before encountering a blind man, who teaches him the word for "friend".

All this goes to pot as soon as Frankenstein and his associate Dr. Pretorius get back involved.

When they show the Creature its mate, the female monster rejects him. This caused the Creature to destroy the lab, but not before sparing the life of Frankenstein and his wife.

It's a complicated one, but it's supposed to be.
