9 Incredible Images Of Actors Becoming The Joker

6. Raphael Grosz-Harvey (Batman: Arkham Origins)

You might be thinking, "But wait a minute, didn't Troy Baker voice The Joker in Batman: Arkham Origins?" And yes, you'd be right, but the production team behind the game employed a revolutionary new method for generating performances in the game, by having the voice actor record their parts first, and then hiring performance capture actors to act out the scenes while miming to said dialogue. As such, the physical performance you see in the game was actually given by Raphael Grosz-Harvey, who did a splendid job interpreting Baker's vocal work and adding his own spin on it. It might seem like a weird and convoluted way to do it (after all, why not just put the voice actors in mo-cap suits, as is so often the case?), but the results speak for themselves in the end. Above all else, Baker and Grosz-Harvey's combined work more than lived up to Mark Hamill's iconic portrayal in the previous games (but more on him in a little bit). Just look at those freaky, mischievous eyes.
