9. The Lion King Originally Featured A Rhinoceros Called "Herr Rhino" With A Mustard-Thick German Accent

The already bizarre thing about The Lion King, we suppose, is that the animals are speaking in - for the most parts - American accents. "Wouldn't they be speaking with African accents?" you say, almost as the exact moment you realise that animals wouldn't be talking in any accents, because they're freakin' animals and they don't talk. So although complaining that Herr Rhino - a rhinoceros with a German accent - would have been a bizarre inclusion makes no real sense, you do still find yourself asking: what would a German rhino be doing in Africa? Which is presumably the reason as to why this character was eventually scrapped from the movie - it probably felt like there was no room for a character with a "mustard-thick German accent," though we can't deny that "Herr Rhino" is pretty much the best and coolest name ever devised. Herr Rhino was going to be a sidekick and friend to Simba and the gang, then, and featured in J.T. Allen's early script for the film.
