9 Legendary Deleted Film Scenes (You'll Never Get To See)

7. Demonic Surgeons - Hellbound: Hellraiser II

Universal

One of the most striking images used to promote horror sequel Hellbound: Hellraiser II was of Pinhead and his female demon pal clad in blood soaked hospital gowns. So fans were disappointed this moment didn't appear in Hellraiser II at all. This scene occurred during the third act, as the heroine is racing through a hospital basement.

She happens upon two surgeons and asks them for help, but as they walk towards her they slowly transform into demons and start chasing her. There is some controversy about whether this scene was even shot. Doug Bradley, the actor who plays Pinhead, insists it wasn€™'t. On the day they were shooting it was discovered the scene didn'€™t work logically.

Pinhead would either have to appear in his original human form - which didn€™'t make sense storywise - or appear as a different actor who turns into Pinhead, which muddled things even more. So after working on it for awhile they decided to abandon it, but not before a set photographer snapped a pic.

On the other hand the writer and director maintain that it was shot, but wasn'€™t used because it sucked. Trailers for the movie contain snippets of the scene, including Pinhead in the gown, so it€™s likely that most of it was shot but it wasn'€™t completed because of special effects trouble. Either way, it will never be seen. Makes for a great photo though.

Handsome. Charismatic. Intelligent. Noble. Witty. I'm none of these things, but I'm a half decent writer, I guess.
