9 Marvel Characters Who Won't Survive Phase 4
7. Mordo
Right now, Chiwetel Ejiofor's Mordo isn't even fully confirmed for Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness, but writer C Robert Cargill let slip that he's involved with big villain Nightmare in the sequel, so we can take that as concrete.
At the end of Doctor Strange, Mordo vowed to rid the world of Sorcerors to re-establish the natural order of things and what price on him teaming up with Nightmare as a means to wipe out Strange? But then again, Mordo is not an inherently bad man as much as a man who sees unjustice (like all of the best MCU villains), so an alliance with the interdimensional bad guy may only be a means to an end and Strange may find that convincing him to reassess might be the key to undoing Nightmare's grip.
How Will He Die?
At the end of In The Multiverse Of Madness, possibly having switched sides once more to align himself with Strange when it turns out that Nightmare's vision for "balance" isn't quite up to Mordo's own. A heel-face turn in a comic book movie is the oldest trick in the book for killing big characters off too, so he's probably done for.
