9 Marvel Movie Plots That DC Should Totally Rip Off

8. Cyborg - Iron Man 3

The Basic Premise: Burdened with having to live as part machine, the hero tries to accept this role while being tormented by his past. As he strives to re-invent himself, someone from his past re-emerges, trying to emulate his powers with organics instead of technology. How DC Could Make It Better: Put simply, don€™t screw up a classic villain. Take out the Mandarin from Iron Man 3 and much of the scorn towards that movie fades away. If DC were to retain a similar narrative but stay true to the villain they€™re using, say Amazo for example, that could go a long way. Furthermore, the perception of the main character is a huge selling point. Tony Stark is usually hilariously arrogant and sarcastic, so it€™s no fun to watch him spend so much of the moving down in the dumps. Cyborg could take the opposite approach, starting off very dejected about his state but coming to find the humour in it once he accepts who he is. Cyborg is a tough sell to audiences, but so was Iron Man when he first came out. They just have to find a way to anchor his unbelievable plight with a human story we actually care about.
