9 Marvel Movie Plots That DC Should Totally Rip Off

7. Shazam - The Incredible Hulk

The Basic Premise: An ordinary human is given abilities that transform him into a super-strong alter-ego. While the hero struggles with the duality of his identity, he is pursued by a government organization trying to control him and a villainous individual who is trying to harness his power for himself. How DC Could Make It Better: One issue that€™s prevailed the Hulk movies so far is how to balance his screen time with Bruce Banner. Plot-wise, you can€™t get much from a green monster, but too much time with Banner and you feel like you€™re being ripped off of the action you came to see. Because Billy Batson€™s alter-ego is much more mild-mannered and vocal, we can spend time with the more exciting and engaging side of the character. In a weird twist, The Incredible Hulk represented one of Marvel€™s darker films. Conversely, Shazam could be one of DC€™s lightest, despite potentially featuring a very similar plot. That type of tone could be just what the Jekyll/Hyde story needs to keep it fresh. Similarly, the science-based world of Banner is much less interesting and much more serious than the magical one of Shazam. If Shazam can capture this story but with an inverted tone, it could surprise everyone.
