9 Mind-Meltingly Awesome Times Nine Inch Nails Improved Film Trailers

8. Righteous Kill €“ Heresy

Again, not all of the awesome trailers evolve into fantastic films. Righteous Kill is most known as the film that hyped the hell out of Robert De Niro and Al Pacino being paired on-screen, and proving that what worked for Heat wouldn't always work. To be fair, the cinema legends do put in worthy enough performances, but they just can't save the overly predictable plot and generic feel of it all. It's a shame the movie we got represented nowhere near the quality of its trailers €“ which promised a serial killer manhunt in the vein of Se7en. These trailers also took advantage of the film's theme of lost faith in the criminal justice system by having Nine Inch Nail's "Heresy" heighten the mood. Granted, there's a bit of a difference between lyrics exclaiming "God is dead, and no one cares, if there is a hell, I'll see you there" and the criminal justice system, but it works enough. Apparently, God must be dead if an abundance of rapists and murderers are still running amok. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x3vsfb_righteous-kill_shortfilms?search_algo=1
