9 Mind-Meltingly Awesome Times Nine Inch Nails Improved Film Trailers

4.The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo €“ The Immigrant Song

This entry is a bit different from previous ones and for multiple reasons. First off, the trailer song is a collaboration between Trent Reznor and Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and is also part of a complete score for The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. The film is another twisted tale of serial killers from genre expert David Fincher €“ a frequent collaborator of Trent Reznor €“ although its trailer seems to completely hold back on telling you anything about the film. Fincher is known for creating very vividly striking trailers and opening credit montages, and this one in particular is another win. http://youtu.be/_iUkJ2QXGkU All we're told is that there's a mystery to solve and that it stars a punkish/emo looking hacker. And while the frenetic and nearly epileptic editing of the trailer - it must switch between scenes, text, and more nearly 150 times - it's the upbeat electronic sounding "The Immigrant Song" that elevates the trailer into something truly special.
