9 More Movie “Mistakes” That Were Totally Intentional

5. The Disappearing Barrier - The Matrix Reloaded

The Matrix Reloaded
Warner Bros.

During the excellent highway sequence in The Matrix Reloaded (one of its only really great moments), we get to see the twins taking on the full might of Morpheus and a katana. Sparks fly and some of the best car stunt work ever was committed to scene.

There's a mistake in Morpheus' defiant last-man-standing moment when he dodges the twins car and somehow flips it with one swing of his blade. In the shots from behind Morpheus, you can clearly see the narrow road has two crash barriers, but then in the wide, there's no barrier between the action and the camera.

It's not just sloppy though, the barrier was removed intentionally so we could actually see him slice through the car is cool slow motion. The barrier then returns for the closer and birds eye views.
