9 More Movie Moments IMPOSSIBLE To Watch The Same Way After This

7. The Personal Experience That Related To Bradley Cooper's Rocket Scream - Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3

There's a properly devastating moment in the middle of James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 that is up there as one of the most heartbreaking superhero moments of the last decade.

After trying to free his fellow animal buddies from their cells, the villainous High Evolutionary murders Rocket's beloved Lylla in front of his very eyes. The noise that erupts from the broken raccoon is haunting, and it's actually a sound that was scarily similar to the one Bradley Cooper, the star voicing the Guardian, made when his father passed away.

Cooper revealed this fact whilst talking on The Howard Stern Show, saying that whilst recording the moment on a sound stage for the movie, he sensed that everyone listening to the massively emotional scene could sense that "there was some deep truth to the sound that came out of my mouth."

Watching a traumatised Rocket cry for the death of his precious Lylla was already a "holy s**t" moment, as Cooper put it, but discovering that this was also a sound partly inspired by Cooper's own tragic experience of his dad dying makes that affecting scene even more painful to behold.
