Captain America: Civil War: 9 Most Compelling Pieces Of Evidence That Proves Iron Man Will Die
6. It's The Most Shocking, But Still Logical, Twist
All modern movies seem to be built around having a single "big surprise" moment that is hidden in the otherwise revealing marketing, something you can bet Civil War will get on board with. And what's bigger than the death of the series' most prominent character? That would blow even the likes of Kal-El out of the water. Oh yeah, it's worth pointing out Captain America: Civil War is actually shaping up to be a very similar movie to Batman V Superman; as it stands, both see heroes pitted against each other by nefarious and partially unseen dark forces, but need them to find some resolution before an impending cosmic threat gets in the way. And, odds are they'll both end with one of the banner characters killed. However, whereas in Dawn Of Justice it didn't quite work because it was always quite probable Superman would die because the character who exists solely to kill Superman had been forced into the story, the death of Tony Stark would be a real shocker. There is, of course, a similar argument to be had with Captain America - he is the title character after all, so a death would surprise the majority of the non-comic book literate audience - but the fact we're here debating Iron Man surely attests to how his demise would have the bigger impact.
