4. Keanu Reeves - Speed
Say what you want about Keanu Reeves' low-key acting approach, but you have to admire the man's desire to do his own stunts. In the 1994 action classic Speed, director Jan de Bont was hesitant to let Reeves do the stunt where SWAT officer Jack Traven jumps from a speeding convertible onto the infamous bus rigged with the equally-infamous bomb. It's no wonder that de Bont had his trepidations; he was a first time feature film director after all, and in the wider world of Hollywood movie making, it wasn't encouraged to put your pretty stars in that much danger whilst shooting a movie - not when there are readily-available stuntmen ready, rehearsed and raring to go. Reeves had other plans, on the other hand, as he had been rehearsing the stunt in secret for some time. On the day of shooting, he persuaded de Bont to let him go for it, and the debutante director was crazy or foolish enough to let him do it. Sure enough, he did it, he succeeded, and the result is one hell of an authentic stunt. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1cNBL3OOMRY
