2. Angelina Jolie - Salt

Angelina Jolie is as fearless as they come in the action movie game, as evidenced by her turn as double agent Evelyn Salt in the similarly-named 2010 action thriller, Salt. In a scene where her character is due to jump off a bridge and land on a moving truck, the actress was insistent on doing it herself - evidently, director Phillip Noyce wasn't one to argue, as she did indeed end up performing her own stunt (and several more on the movie besides). Of course, it doesn't mean that she did it all in one take - rather, the stunt was compartmentalised. So, the first take would have been her jumping off the bridge, the second tumbling through the air, and the third landing on the speeding truck. The reveal of all that movie magic doesn't lessen the impact of her doing her own stuntwork though; it's still her own body she's putting on the line, after all.
