3. Jaws Versus Free Willy Is Happening... Kind Of

There's nothing a certain type of film fan loves more than a schlocky shark horror movie. How else could you possibly explain the baffling success of the Sharknado films or the myriad ridiculous Jaws clones that make Deep Blue Sea look like Citizen Kane? Someone's got to be watching them.

The good news for these fans of the fin is that there's a new player in the game and despite sounding like a complete joke, it might be genuinely brilliant. The film is called Alphas and will follow the story of a town who decide that the only way to deal with a man-eating shark is to unleash a "damaged" killer whale that's been locked up alone for years after killing its trainer. It's basically Suicide Squad for fish.

Now, this wouldn't usually cause a ripple in the waters, but weirdly, it's got a great change of being good because it's being made by Steven Quale - James Cameron's actual protege - who is genuinely very talented. So it might seriously be one to watch.
