9 Most Outrageously Hilarious Horror Comedies of All Time

8. The Cabin in The Woods

Maestro of whipping generic conventions into frothy witty fluff, Josh Whedon produced and co-wrote this swipe at horror movies. Though not quite as clever as it thinks it is (Scream covered the same ground first and more intelligently), there's still a lot to admire about The Cabin in the Woods. Beginning as a more straight-laced and conventional horror film, Cabin cashes in its crazy chips with a deliriously jaw-dropping climax that puts every conceivable horror movie ingredient into a blender and hits frappé. Cabin proves to be a thoroughly enjoyable romp hitting all the require horror comedy notes. It will leave horror buffs perfectly satisfied (as long as you don't think about it too much).
