9 Most Undeserved Movie Plot Twists

5. Now You See Me: Dylan Was The Fifth Horseman

It makes sense for a magical heist film's grand finale to out everything as one big ruse, but Now You See Me deserves no prestige for the execution of its big twist.

Once viewers were given a peek behind the curtain, they realised that FBI agent Dylan Rhodes's (played by Mark Ruffalo) investigation was one big con to exact revenge on Morgan Freeman's character for the death of his magician father.

In one fell swoop, Now You See Me made a mockery of its only interesting character and descended far beyond the realms of implausibility. The idea of a reputed FBI agent pulling the wool over the collective eyes of his entire department and teaming up with a bunch of magician teenagers is just downright silly.

The only thing more less believable than Dylan turning out to be the fifth Horseman is the fact Now You See Me made more than enough money to push a sequel into development and kick franchise plans into motion. What sorcery is this?
